Laser Paper Buyers Guide
Laser paper is especially designed for laser printers. If you have a laser printer it is important to use the correct type of paper to prevent paper jams which can cause extensive damage to your machine and also to get the best quality print outs. By using a high quality laser paper it can prolong the life of your laser printer. Laser paper is heat resistant, as laser printers use heat and pressure when applying ink to the page, the printer can get quite hot, so having heat resistant paper prevents the paper from curling. - Paper Sizes - Laser paper usually has a high level of whiteness to deliver best quality printing results and it is ideal to use in business environments which require reliable high volume printing. Laser paper can be usually found in two most popular paper formats which are A4 (210 x 297mm) and A3 (420 x 297mm) which is twice the size of an A4 sheet. Given the size of an A3 sheet of laser paper, presentations, posters, graphs etc. are clear, visible and look extremely professional. A4 paper is the most commonly used in most homes and office and is suitable for letters, reports etc. as well as every day high volume printing.
- Paper Weight – the weights of laser paper start at 90gsm (grams per square meter) and such laser paper is suitable for most of printing jobs that you would do on daily basis. If you want your correspondence, documents and reports to look more important and elegant you might choose laser paper which weighs 100gsm and more – such paper feels heavier and more prestigious and can be used for important documents and mailings. You can also find laser paper which is 170gsm and such paper can be used for arts and crafts or assignments which specifically require such heavy paper.
