The whole purpose of fragile tape is to alert the transportation personnel of the delicate nature of the package. research has shown that 50% less damages are reported on cases and packages that carry a "fragile" sticker or packaging tape on the box or carton.
The Fragile packing tape here is made of strong polypropylene material that is stretch, burst and tear resistant. This means that when you apply the tape to a package the opening lips will be kept tightly together in 99% of cases. There is also a benefit on the strong adhesion of this tape roll as it will stay on a surface. Of course this is only if the tape is applied to a dry clean surface in the first place. Always package good carefully inside the box using bubble wrap or foam. The fragile tape will not protect against a fall its only to warn people to handle the fragile box with due care.
