All 3 AirMaster® ranges offer the exact same functionality as the original AirMaster®: 8 times more effective in capturing and retaining fine dust than smooth flooring solutions (PM10) and 4 times more effective than standard carpet solutions (PM10)1. The open structure of the DESSO AirMaster® carpet tiles ensures that the captured dust particles are easily removed for maximum regeneration of the carpet’s filtering capacity. The high/low construction and the space between the thick and the thin yarns create optimal air circulation when vacuuming. Tests indicate that over 80% of the dust is released by the carpet during vacuum cleaning, which is a 16% improvement over standard carpets. Additional tests indicate that during vacuum cleaning, the airspeed at the core of the carpet structure is 55% higher compared to standard carpets, resulting in improved dust release. The vacuum cleaner must have a properly functioning filter, preventing the fine dust from blowing back into the air again. A regular and thorough cleaning and maintenance programme is important for every flooring solution. DESSO AirMaster® Elements
Creativity and performance have been married together with the release of AirMaster® Elements Collection. The four new designs, each available in six colours, provide a more organic, all-over pattern and seamlessly combine creativity with the functionality of the original DESSO AirMaster® dust free carpet to offer increased flooring design options. AirMaster® Elements is 8 times more effective in capturing and retaining fine dust than smooth flooring solutions (PM10) and 4 times more effective than standard carpet solutions (PM10)1.

DESSO AirMaster® Blend
The space dyed yarn of the AirMaster® Blend creates a playful yet modest all over pattern for endless design possibilities. It is 8 times more effective in capturing and retaining fine dust than smooth flooring solutions (PM10) and 4 times more effective than standard carpet solutions (PM10)1. Each of the six colours in the range has also been developed to tie-in perfectly with the original AirMaster® range to allow for creativity, mixing and matching.

The new Silver Certified Cradle to Cradle®  DESSO EcoBase® backing is available on all products and from a WPP holding perspective the preferred backing as this contributes most to WPP's sustainability objectives.Additionally an acoustic backing called DESSO SoundMaster® is available as well. DESSO SoundMaster® offers an impact sound reduction value of minimal +10 dB in addition to the standard value, thereby setting a new industry standard in carpet performance. In addition, it offers a 60% improvement in acoustical performance in comparison to our standard carpet designs. DESSO SoundMaster® is made from 100% polyester (40% recycled) and is specifically chosen for its advanced sound insulation and absorption properties.

How Does It Work
Contrary to general opinion, carpet can play an important role in capturing fine dust in the indoor environment. According to a study performed by the German Allergy and Asthma Association (DAAB), it is proven that the burden from fine dust is dramatically reduced when using carpet. With the AirMaster® anti allergy carpet this functionality is taken to the next level. Its patented technology has been specially developed to capture and retain harmful fine dust from the indoor air making this carpet tile suitable for allergy sufferers. The open product structure ensures that dust is easily released during cleaning, to ensure maximum regeneration of the carpet’s filtering functionality.

How it works

- Very fine dust is captured and retained in the fine yards of the DESSO AirFilters
- Coarser fine dust is captured in the thicker yarns of the DESSO DustCollectors
- The unique structure of DESSO AirMaster elements prevents the dust from becoming airborne again.
