HuntOffice continues our commitment to think carefully about social and
environmental considerations when managing our relationships with
suppliers. We are committed to influencing and monitoring social and
environmental performance in our global supply chains.
We are committed to a supply chain that fully integrates ethical and
environmentally responsible practices. A large number of our
supply network operate on 100% renewable energy, using solar
power (thermal and PV) & LED lighting across production, show rooms and
Head offices.
Huntoffice has a zero tolerance approach to Modern Slavery. It takes
action to prevent slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour and
human trafficking (modern slavery), a crime and a violation of
fundamental human rights within its own business and supply chain, in
line with section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 requirements and
guidance, and other country specific legislation.
We partner with suppliers involved in the Plant A Tree scheme. This
includes funding the planting of trees on a selection of desks bought
from our range. To date we have helped to plant over 3000 trees in
Tanzania in conjunction with the Global Climate Institute. These trees
will be planted in Tanzania and distributed to individuals, families and
groups, like churches, schools and clinics. A variety of tree species
are distributed to provide fruit, fencing, nitrogen fixing, firewood,
animal feed and medicine.
We require our supply chain partners to comply with all our policies and standards. We request a responsible approach to labour and materials sourcing & supply chain practices including waste, water and energy impacts. We are confident that the certifications & accreditations within our supply chain will improve our environmental performance. We believe the changes we make now – will make a difference in the future.
Understanding the wider impact of our work is a predominant factor for our future plans. Working with partners that share our green targets & expectations makes us confident that we are improving our performance and impact on the environment.
