Maneuvrability is an aspect of steps that can be highly important for workplaces that require an employee to reach high up areas in multiple locations in a building. The retractable swivel castors allow for great maneuvrability and retract into the cup when weight is applied to the steps. They have a fully welded construction with a powder coated finish and they are available in four colours; blue, green, red or yellow. There are two tread types available; metal treads with ribbed rubber or slip resistant grit-like surface. Single-Section-Aluminium-Ladder   Steel Steps
When choosing a ladder, you need to decide what material will best suit your needs: steel, aluminium, wood or fibreglass. Double ladders are lightweight and so are suited to use on the go. The light weight also makes it the most common choice of material for the longest extension ladders, which otherwise would be too heavy to carry. This warehouse steps are manufactured from steel. Fully welded construction with a powder coated finish.

Ladder Safery Tips

  • Set the ladder at the correct angle. Straight, single or extension ladders should be set up at about a 75-degree angle. There is usually a safety icon / graphic on the side of the ladder that shows the proper angle orientation between vertical and horizontal that you should use as a guide.
  • Keep your body centered between the side rails of the ladder at all times.
  • Make sure the weight your ladder is supporting does not exceed its maximum load rating (weight of the user plus materials).
  • Only place one person on the ladder at one time.
  • Use a ladder that is the proper length for the job. Proper length is a minimum of 3 feet extending over the roofline or working surface.
  • Metal ladders will conduct electricity. Use a wooden or fiberglass ladder in the vicinity of power lines or electrical equipment.
  • Be sure all locks on extension ladders are properly engaged.
  • The ground under the ladder should be level and firm. Large flat wooden boards braced under the ladder can level a ladder on uneven ground or soft ground. A good practice is to have a helper hold the bottom of the ladder.
  • Do not use a ladder within six metres of a live overhead power line.
