Draughtsman Chairs

A draughtsman chair is a swivel chair without wheels that is usually taller than an office chair for use in front of a drawing board. With their ability to reach an increased height, draughtsman chairs can be unstable, for this reason they are fitted with a foot ring to support the legs and ensure the safe transition from sitting to standing. Draughtsman chairs also have a foot ring to support the legs while sitting when it is not possible to reach the ground. Draughtsman chairs are also ideal in work situations where you may need to work at a high bench or table as they allow you to alternate from sitting to standing more easily than with a standard office chair. 

Draughtsman chairs come in a variety of colours such as black, blue, burgundy and charcoal as well as a range of fabric finishes including leather and pvc draughtsman chairs. Draughtsman chairs are sometimes just called high rise office chairs or operator chairs but the correct term is draughtsman as high rise chairs and operator chairs can mean other types also. Draughtsman chairs are also frequently misspelled as draftsman chairs.
