Sticky notes

Post-it notes also called sticky notes notes are a pad of paper with an adhesive strip on the back of each sheet, the individual sheets can then be reattached to various surfaces i.e. desks, books, notice boards etc. It is one of the most popular stationery products worldwide. Sticky notes were first developed by 3M and released on the market in late 70's. 3M owns the trademark for Post-it which over the years has become a common term used to describe sticky notes also made by other manufacturers.

• The most popular type of sticky notes is canary yellow colour square sheets which are 76x76mm (3x3 inches). This was actually the first type of Post-it notes that went for sale and ever since its first release it has become a standard size and colour for other companies which started manufacturing sticky notes after the patent has expired in the 90’s. Sticky notes have evolved in the last few years and yellow square pads aren’t the only option.

• Nowadays sticky notes are available in a choice of colours including all time classic yellow notes and other colours which are good to contrast the handwriting that you apply on them. The choice of sticky notes colours include assorted, rainbow, blue, pink, pastel, neon, green, red, orange and white. Also the selection of sizes has expanded and sticky notes are available in square and rectangular shapes which come in various dimensions. You can also find some non-standard shape sticky notes such as arrows, hearts or speech bubble. Sticky notes are also available as index flags, index arrows and repositionable tabs.




• Standard sticky notes use an adhesive which is strong enough to be temporarily attached to smooth surfaces, files and documents. If you require more versatile sticky notes that can be adhered to practically any type of surface (one that isn’t smooth or is vertical) you should choose super sticky notes which use a stronger adhesive.

Transparent sticky notes

These post-it notes typically refer to adhesive sticky notes or tabs that are transparent or semi-transparent, allowing you to see through them to the text or content underneath. 	"I have a z note holder on my desk and was looking for z note refills specifically the 76 x 127mm z notes. I purchased the z note holder from my local supplier but they didn't have any z notes when I needed to refill. After doing a bit of searching I found these post-it notes online. 	"I only discovered these post-it Z notes recently, they're the very same as the original post-it notes but are designed to be used in the post-it Z note dispenser. I bought both the z notes and dispenser together for the simple reason I'm always losing my pad of post-it notes. I no longer have that issue, I keep them by the phone on my desk and they don't move. Aside from the convenience of the post-it z notes they are the same good quality I've always been getting. The adhesive is excellent, tends to not lose its stickyness even after being reused several times. Those who use post-it notes a lot throughout the day should definitely go for the z-notes along with the dispenser rather than the normal post it notes because they're much more convenient."

	"i'd say some well known brand that makes sticky notes is a little bit overpriced as these 5 star yellow removable notes are like 4 times cheaper and they do the same job. as you are getting 12 pads withe 100 sheets each it lasts for a while. definitely worth checking out"

	"If you use post it notes and you are looking to save money then these cheaper version sticky notes really fit the bill. They are 1/4 of the price or regular post it notes. They're excellent for sticking onto surfaces. I was looking everywhere on the site for 3 x 3 inches sticky notes however on the title it only says 76 x 76mm you should also mentioned 3 x 3 inches. I rang customer service for help and the gentleman I spoke with was so nice and helpful, I can't remember his name but top class customer service, thanks."
