BS EN 61111:2009 gives increased worker protection against very high voltages. Ribbed surface gives increased underfoot traction for prevention of slips. Colour coded tape on reverse of matting depicts its classification. The matting comes in 1m widths and three thicknesses: 3mm - meets Class 0, tested to 10kV with a working voltage of 1kV. 4mm - meets Class 2, tested to 30kV with a working voltage of 17kV. 5mm - meets Class 4, tested to 50kV with a working voltage of 36kV. Sold as 10m rolls or by the linear metre (whole metre denominations only).
